Had Enough?
That is the most important question you need to ask yourself in this years election. Look around you. Look at your neighbors, look at your children, and look at your checkbook. Not since the late 1970's has our economy been this bad, and our current Representative has done little or nothing to stem the tide. Unemployment in our district now sits above the state and national average, and has yet to level off. Our district has seen more industries leaving than coming, although we are the most ideal location for new growth in our state. Our local leaders look for answers and help from Atlanta, yet all they get are more budget cuts and unfunded mandates, and we, the taxpayers, get hit with new taxes as a result.
But in 2010 we have a chance for a fresh start. With a new Governor and fresh faces at all levels of state government comes a promising new day. We can decide if our state will remain the "Empire State" of the South, and if we will continue being our regions leader in quality growth. We can build a state where our children won't need to move elsewhere for jobs or education and also provide a safe and healthy environment for them to raise families of their own.
To do this our state needs leadership, REAL leadership. We need someone who will be there to discuss problems with their constituents, and not hide away for the next two years. We need someone who will build friendships with a new state administration, and not rely solely on alliances of the past. For six years now our district has been represented in Atlanta someone who has proven in-effective and uncaring and, in truth, an empty seat would have served us better.
Hard times call for hard answers, and that is what I intend to deliver. I will stand up for your conservative interests, and see that the residents of this district see a return to prosperity. Am I asking for 6 years of a special interests gravy train like my opponent? No. I ask for 2 years, one single term in office to show that I can do what my opponent cannot. If 2012 finds that I have not shown my worth to our citizens, then I will not seek re-election. It's here in black and white, print it, save it, and in 2012 hold me to it. I'm not asking to serve me and my family, I'm asking to serve OUR families. I ask you to join with me, and together let's "Build A Better Georgia".
